Joy Leccese is the caregiver’s caregiver. As a parent of a survivor of traumatic brain injury, she has “been there, done that.” When it comes to learning how to rebuild her own life after trauma, Joy has honed those skills in the trenches. Her previous education and experience as a counselor have been the foundation of her evolution as a professional life coach, focusing primarily on helping other caregivers of survivors of brain injury reclaim their lives. She is highly skilled in guiding her clients through grief and loss, and helping them define their own new set of rules to live by. Caregivers can and do survive the trauma and stress, and can evolve into living a life of meaning, purpose and unmitigated joy.
Joy is also the facilitator of a TBI caregiver support group in Rochester, NY, which is affiliated with the Brain Injury Association of New York State; she coaches individuals and groups locally and on the web. Be sure to email her at the link above for information on class schedules or individual coaching.
